6 month stats and pictures

Yesterday was Ella's 6 month check up. The doctor says she is doing great! Unfortunately the shots she got yesterday have made our happy girl not so happy; but I have to admit, I LOVE the cuddling time I get when she is not feeling good.

6 month stats:

Height: 27"
Weight: 18.7 lbs (Guy guessed exactly)

Here are the 6 month pictures we had taken...
(Despite how they look here, they really did turn out great! These are pictures of pictures so please forgive the quality)

Like Father Like Daughter

Ella has grown to love playing with Guys lap top; she loves to push -more like pound- on the keys and of course chew on the edge. To prevent any permanent damage Ella now has her own lap top. She has had such a great time playing with her new toy. You might think it's a little early...but with Guy as her Dad I am surprised it has taken this long.

One of the many...

We have been having a lot of firsts with Ella around here: eating baby food, sitting up by herself, and now crawling. But last night we experienced a first that I can only hope is also our last...Ella pooped in the bath tub! I opted not to take any pictures because well, that's just wrong; but since I had to clean it up, I decided to blog about it, hoping that one day Ella and I will look back and have a good laugh. "I love you pooper!" (Guy has been calling Ella pooper lately, now it has a whole new meaning. hehe)

6 Months!

I can not believe that my baby is six months old! She has such a fun personality: always smiling, talking constantly(lately more like screaming), and laughing at everything. Her favorite way to spend the day is walking around the house chasing Carl, our overly friendly Basset Hound; of course all of this with assistance from her walker.

Ella is now trying to crawl, and although slow, is getting where she wants to go. Gone are the days of laying her down, grabbing something from another room, and knowing she will still be there when you get back. We are quickly learning-for the safety of Ella and our home-baby proofing is a necessity.

We have yet to find a baby food that she doesn't like. So far sweet potatoes and applesauce seem to be her favorite, but she will eat: peas, green beans, squash, carrots, pears, peaches and anything else she can get in her mouth.

She is such a perfect addition to our family! We love you Ella!

Baby Cousin

Last week my Sister in law Valerie and her husband found out they are expecting. This is going to be their first baby and we could not be more excited! Ella will have a little cousin to play with and I finally get to be an Aunt! YA!! I can't wait...keep you posted =)

Here is a picture of Ella and her Aunt Valerie taken today. So cute!

Labor Day Weekend...

We have had a very busy Labor Day weekend! I didn't remember to bring the camera with me everywhere, but did capture some of the weekends events.

Friday morning Ella and I hung out with our favorite neighbors and then came home for an awesome pizza party to include an always entertaining jam session (we don't play real instruments, just Guitar Hero; but it still rocked!). We made home made pizza with fresh dough Chrissy picked up at an Italian market and even tried out Loaded Baked Potato Pizza; a recipe we saw last weekend on the Great Pillsbury Bake Off. Delicious!

Saturday we spent the day at Raging Waters. The first hour was great! After that everything went down hill. Guy lost his Ray Ban sunglasses when he and Danny flipped off a raft on one of the rides, and then had his shoes stolen while floating in the Lazy River. To top it off, after lunch they decided to shut down half of the park for a "water quality check"... At that point we decided it was time to go home.

Sunday was a lazy day spent around the house. Chrissy BBQ'd in the afternoon and we watched the Nascar race.

Monday morning we had Ella's pictures taken. We already take an excessive amount of pictures, but decided that no child should look back and not have a few classic Mall baby photo's. As soon as we receive the pictures I will post them for everyone to see. We then had a relaxing afternoon with the Thomas family.

Ella was checking out her Great Grandparents backyard and decided she needed to taste the plants to get the full effect.
