La Brea Tar Pits

Yesterday after the The Grove we headed over to the La Brea Tar Pits. Guy had been there once before when he was a kid and I had never been there. It was really interesting. There was an observation area where you could watch the ongoing excavation and random places where tar was coming up out of the grass. Ella will never remember she was there, but with perfect weather and good company (Chris came along and took a ton of great pictures) we had a great day!
