KBDC Dance Recital 2013

Ella danced in her second dance recital this weekend. It was really great to watch her on stage and see how far she has come in just a year.  She loved to dress up, be on stage, and especially liked getting flowers afterwards.  Daddy, Grandma, Aunt Valerie, Aunt Sissy, Mee Maw, Paw Paw, Angie and Hannah all came to cheer her on.  I hung out backstage and wrangled all the little dancers.  While she danced I was able to watch on the side of the stage and have to admit that I totally teared up!  I love this girl!

Happy Father's Day!

Father's Day was low key this year and much of the weekend was spent working on projects around the house that we are trying to get finished before the baby comes.  One project that Guy finished was putting up our pool.  Thanks to all of his hard work, our back yard is just about ready for Summer.  One day a year is not enough to thank him for all that he does for us.  He works hard all day and then comes home and works some more all while still helping out with the kids and being a great husband.  We love you honey!

The Robot Car

Ella and Jack have given Daddy's Baja bug a name...The Robot Car.  They both love to check it out and sit inside. Guy was headed out to go fly his remote control airplane and invited the kids to go along.  Jack was to scared, but Ella jumped right in and had a great time! 

Pregnancy Update - 32 weeks

how far along: 32 weeks

sleeping: Sleeping is definitely not what it used to be.  I am waking up a lot but at this point I am able to fall back to sleep pretty quickly.  My hips don't like sleeping too much!

movement: This baby moves a lot and I love it! 

food craving: Still loving all Mexican food! 

what I miss:  Not feeling completely exhausted every day at 2pm.  It takes everything in me not to fall asleep!

what I look forward too: I am looking forward to our big "Place Your Bets" shin dig!  It is always great to spend time with friends and family.

milestones: Finally moving forward on the baby's room. I am well into the 3rd trimester and excited to be moving forward!

how am I feeling:  Pretty overwhelmed this past week.  Being so far into the pregnancy and feeling like I have nothing done mixed with a good dose of pregnancy hormones has caused a few break downs.  I am frustrated with things and people that I am normally able to brush off.  I am hoping this will pass as we check our to do's off the list.

Rainbows and Sunshine

Aunt Valerie had a super cute baby shower to welcome baby Amber.  All of the decorations were weather themed and added a fun element to the shower.  We are really excited to meet this baby and looking forward the adventures all of the kids will have together.

Teamwork

I was really anxious about Ella and Jack being so close together in age, and some days there is definitely some fighting, but for the most part they get along great and play really well together.  Every so often, they help each other out in a way that helps me, and with everything we have going on around here I will take all the help I can get!  

Ballerina Ella

Ella has really enjoyed Ballet and Tap.  Every week she is a good listener Miss Alyssa gives her a new sticker for her paper; this was the 3rd sticker paper that Ella has filled up.  Ella was so excited to get her prize, a Cinderella purse. 

Memorial Day

Memorial Day was spent swimming, BBQ'ing, and enjoying the company of our family.  I am really looking forward to being on maternity leave this summer.  I see a lot of swimming and family time in our future!
