Happy Birthday Grandpa!

We had a really good time celebrating Grandpa's birthday; visiting with everyone and cooling off in the pool.  One thing I wanted to be sure to remember was a cute conversation that Ella had with Grandpa.  It went like this...

E - Grandpa, what number are you?
G- I turned 57 today...can you count to 57?
        *Ella stops to think for a minute and then responds*
E - I could, but it would take all day.

We all laughed and could not believe that was what her answer was!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!  We hope 57 is filled with lots of fun and adventure!

This summer has been full of fun! This trip to Silverwood Lake with the family was no exception. The kids loved playing in the water enjoying the sun.

The kids were watching a show before bed. When I went in to check on them they were sitting together in the chair, completely happy to hang out together. I took the opportunity to snap a picture.

Ballet

Ella has learned so much since she started 6 months ago. She can now show you an arabesque and many other basic ballet and tap moves. Miss Alyssa has provided a great balance of fun and learning. After every class the kids receive a sticker and when they fill up their sticker paper (3 months) they get to pick a special prize. Ella was so excited when she filled up her paper!

Dresses are for girls?

This girl is always trying to get her brother in a dress. This time he gave in and as you can see from his smile, he had a horrible time. Just one picture for the book :)

Mr & Mrs McDowell

We had such a great time at Becca and Jon's Wedding!  It was held at the beautiful Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club.  Congrats to you two!  Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day.   

MUD!

The kids had so much fun playing in the mud! August has brought us an unusual amount of rain and we have loved every minute of it. While the kids played I snapped a few pictures and i loved to see the smiles on their faces.

A day at the lake

Another exciting adventure to add to our summer memories; a day at Silverwood Lake.  The kids loved playing in the water and found it much less intimidating than the ocean waves.  With the heat we have been having this summer I could use another day in the water!
