My maternity leave is about to end and I am trying to squeeze in some one on one time with all the kids. On this day, Ella was at pre-school and Ruby hung out with Marie so that me and Jack could spend the morning together at the library. Valerie invited us to tag along. The local library has a kids program, this week they were able to come in their costumes and trick or treat the library. Jack had fun and only took out a few kids with his wings.
This pumpkin was huge! Jack wanted nothing to do with the seeds, but Ella jumped right in there and started pulling out the guts of the pumpkin. I don't have any pictures of the finished product, but we went with a classic Jack O Lantern face.
We were a little late getting our pumpkin this year, so when we went to our regular pumpkin patch they were completely picked through. We decided go to the Boulder Creek Ranch Harvest Festival. We walked around and checked out some of the attractions and picked up the biggest pumpkin they had!
At Jacks request we threw a robot party to celebrate his third birthday. I love party planning and had a great time getting ready for this one. Jack jumped in the jumper, spent time with friends and family, and ate cake to his hearts content. My little man fills my heart with joy and puts a smile on my face! Now prepare yourself for photo overload...
Just as we did for Ella's third birthday, we decided to take Jack to the Happiest Place on Earth for his. (Ella also got to benefit =) Grandma spent the day with Ruby while we headed down for a day of Disney with the big kids and Uncle Chadie. It was a perfect day! Not too busy, great weather, and the kids did great. Unfortunately Jack was about an inch too small for the "big" rides. He got on all of the rides he could and loved each and every one! He still talks about the rocket ships and spinning really fast with Daddy and Chad.
I am lucky to work at a place full of great people! While down at work filling out some paperwork, I had Jack and Ruby with me. We stopped by the fire department and Jack was given a full tour! It was so great! The Fire Marshall gave Jack a hat and toys, let him sit in the fire truck, and squirt the "fire hose". He was amazed by how big the fire truck was and still asks to go back to the fire house. Thank you San Manuel Fire Department for making my little boy feel so special!
