Camping at Doheny

This weekend we headed to Doheny State Beach for our first family vacation. Because it was our first camping trip with Ella (and Carl!) we decided to only stay one night. Surprisingly Ella and Carl both did great, it was the weather and the park rangers that were trying our patience. Unfortunately the rain clouds moved in and the sun was no where to be found. We made the best of it by setting up the EZ-Up and starting the camp fire early. At about 9pm, the park ranger came by to tell us that our tent was in a common area, not fully in our campsite, and would need to be moved...immediately! It was so frustrating! Luckily we had really great neighbors that helped uproot and re-stake the tent. Even though there were some bumps along the way, I would call our first overnight trip with the baby a success.
