So grown up
Guy snapped this picture while cleaning up the backyard this weekend. Our little girl is looking so grown up these days. It's hard to believe she'll be two in just a few short months!

Reading to Jack
Ella has been all about her books lately. She brings us books all day and especially likes books when she is trying to avoid going to sleep. While I was making dinner the other night she asked me to read her a book and I suggested that she read the book to Jack. To my surprise she sat down right next to the little man and started "reading". If you look closely you will see that she has the book upside down. Only the cool kids can read books upside down. =)

Who needs snow?
Who needs real snow when you can make your own? Ella was playing in the backyard today while I was feeding Jack. When I went out to check on her, I found her shredding a piece of styrofoam and throwing it up in the air, completely covered in little styrofoam balls. I think it's time to take this girl to see some real snow!

p.s. You may have noticed the resurgence of the pacifier. Since Jack's arrival Ella has become quite attached and I am just not ready to take on that battle.

Look Familiar...
When Ella was a newbie I wrote this post. Last night I walked in to almost the exact same setting.

It's fun to be reminded of times when Ella was a baby.

Turkey Day 2010
This year we spent Turkey Day with both sides of the family; dinner with my family and desert with Guy's family. It was a great day full of family, fun, and delicious food!
The best picture we could get of the kids in their Turkey shirts

Some Wii Bowling

Guy had too much Turkey

Jack and Great Grandma Dixie

All about Ella
Since adding Jack into the mix, I have found it challenging to balance both kids, my husband, and all of the house work that needs to be done. I've found my self on most days feeling like I am running in place and not really going any where. Yesterday was a rare day. I decided to forget about the stack of laundry that needed to be done, Jack slept a lot through out the day, and Ella and I just hung out. We played with Play-Doh, made a cake, and played outside even though it was freezing! Ella is so much fun at this stage; I hope I can remember that mischievous smile and the way she yells "monkey" whenever she hears the word.
Play-Doh...(Thanks Miss Kim! hehe) After telling her over and over that she could not eat the Play-Doh she sat at her little table and went to town. I was surprised at how well she did!

We made a cake for Daddy to take to work. I think she is going to give Guy a run for his money when it comes time to decide who get the spatula in the future.

To work off some of that chocolate we played outside.(in the freezing cold!) I got Ella a super cute Winter hat that she absolutely refuses to wear so our time outside was cut a little short.

She's a special girl!
