Pregnancy Update - 15 weeks pregnant!

how far along: 15 weeks

sleeping: I am waking up a few times a night but I am able to fall back to sleep

total weight gain: 2 lbs (I may not be willing to disclose this later in the pregnancy =)

movement: Every so often I think I feel a little movement, but nothing consistent

food craving: chips and salsa. all the time!

what I miss: not feeling sick all the time. I am hoping that being in the second trimester will give me some relief from the morning (and afternoon) sickness.

what I look forward too: Finding out what the sex of the baby is.

milestones: making it into the second trimester. YA!

how am I feeling: calm. Expecting baby number 2 while chasing around a 1 year old is some days a little overwhelming. But there also days like today when it feels like everything is falling into place. I love to see our family grow and am looking forward to meeting the newest member of our family.

Introducing Amy Lynn

Ella's first ever cousin Miss Amy Lynn was born yesterday (4/29/2010) at 11:24pm, weighing 7lbs 10oz and 20 inches long. Guy and I spent the evening down at Kaiser in Fontana with the rest of the family waiting for Amy to arrive. Valerie and Alphonso were both very excited to welcome their first baby. After 12 hours of labor and only 2o minutes of pushing (I am so jealous!) Amy was finally here! Grandma's Carol and Jovita were in the room when she arrived and the rest of the us got to go in and see her just 30 minutes after she was born. She is healthy and perfect and exactly like I imagined her to look like, just like her daddy.

Congratulations on the new addition to your beautiful family Valerie and Alphonso! Enjoy being a family of three =) We love you!

Let me see

This girl LOVES electronics. Recently, when you take the camera out to take her picture she runs over to you so that she can see the viewing screen on the back of the camera; as seen here with Grandma Thomas. It is making it increasingly hard to get a good shot.

She also loves the computer. It never fails, you will be right in the middle of something and she will run up and push delete, backspace, page down, page up, and insert all at the same time!! The other day Guy loaded a baby computer game so that when she pushed the buttons little animals popped up and made noises. With in seconds she had already pushed something to make the game not work...

I'm sure the technological interest has nothing to do with her Dad ;)

After 8 years

the Los Angeles Kings Hockey Team finally made it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs!!! We attended our very first play off game this week and had such a great time! The stadium was completely sold out and everybody's energy through out the game was so high. All of the fans were chanting "Go King GO" and "Lets Go Kings". I can't wait to go again! Good Luck Kings!!!

Check out Guys play off beard. He has been growing it since the last day of the regular season.

Maybe a little too close

I wrote last week how close Ella and Carl have become, but maybe they have been spending a little too much time together. While waiting for dinner to finish cooking today we headed outside to play in the backyard. After a few minutes, I ran inside to check on everything and when I came back out I found Ella attempting to drink from dog's water bowl! I think it may be time to separate these two.

Carl looking on wondering why nothing of his is sacred anymore.

BTW - I know this is totally gross. But when you catch your daughter drinking out of the dog's water bowl, you have to take a picture. (Sorry Mom and Dad, I know what your thinking. But it was too good of a photo opportunity to pass up =)

Blast from the past

Back in the day when I was Ella's age (21 years ago, hehe)I had a sweet three wheeler, made of plastic, and completely self propelled of course. My Dad has held on the that three wheeler all of these years and on Easter we let Ella check it out. I have to say, I don't think it would pass any of the safety standards out there now for kids toys; given that every time she sits on it and tries to move she just falls over. But it was fun to see her play with something that I enjoyed so long ago.

House Guest

While Danny and Chrissy were enjoying the races, their son Jared came and hung out with us for the weekend. Ella loves having Jared around and we think he's pretty cool too. After cleaning up breakfast I headed into the living room to find this...

Thank you Jared for being so patient with your little follower this weekend. You can come and hang out with us any time.
